Full and half eternity bands

The most common eternity size. A full eternity in a US 6 takes about 22 stones at 2 mm, a US 7 about 23, a US 8 about 25; a half eternity is half those. Full eternities cannot be resized, so count carefully — the eternity and tennis bracelet page has the table by ring size.

Fine tennis bracelets

A 7-inch bracelet at 2 mm is 68–69 stones, about 2 ct in total — the lightest "real" tennis bracelet, and the one where a single oversize stone is most visible because there are so many neighbours.

Shoulder and channel accents

Three or five 2 mm stones each side of a centre is the standard shoulder detail on solitaires; channel-set 2 mm runs are common on men's bands.

Setting notes at 2 mm

Two millimetres is where shared-prong and channel setting start, and both depend on every stone being the same diameter: the prong or channel is cut once for the row.
