The full size-by-size table with stone counts is on the lab-grown diamond melee size chart; price per carat by size, and what one stone costs, is on the price per carat page.

How it is sold

Round melee — by the 1-carat bag, one size per bag
You choose a size such as 1.5 mm; the bag holds 1 carat of stones sorted to within ±0.1 mm of it, roughly 65 pieces at that size. The millimetre size is the specification. From 3 mm up, where each stone weighs 0.10 ct or more, a bag is made up as close to 1 carat as whole stones allow and can run slightly over or under. Mixed bags and tighter sorting are available on request.
Single stones — by weight band
Eight bands of 0.1 ct from 0.19 to 0.99 ct, one fixed price each. The exact weight is written on the packet. Matched pairs on request.
Fancy shapes — by the 1-carat bag, two price tiers
Stones of 0.04 ct and up per stone are one price; under 0.04 ct, another. Each product page has a guide to which tier a given millimetre size falls in. Because fancy melee comes in many length × width combinations and not all are in stock at once, send the mm you need first and we confirm with a photo before you pay.

Grading

  • Colour DE, clarity VS–VVS. Melee is sorted and graded as a parcel to the supplier's standard, as it is throughout the trade; it is not graded stone by stone.
  • Rounds are Hearts & Arrows cut. Face-up symmetry you can check under an H&A viewer.
  • No grading report is included with melee or with single stones under 1 ct. Stones of 1 ct and above are quoted from stock and can be supplied with a report; ask when you enquire.
  • Wording. Everything here is described as laboratory-grown diamond, with the qualifier next to the word diamond, as the FTC Jewelry Guides and ISO 18323 require. We recommend the same wording on your invoices.

What you get

  • A photo or video of your actual stones before dispatch. Every parcel is hand-inspected and recorded; you see what is going in the bag.
  • Duties on us in the US and Europe. Shipping is $20 flat worldwide and free over $100. Import duties and taxes are prepaid to the US, the EU and the UK; in Switzerland and Norway any charge on delivery is refunded in full against the receipt. To other countries, import charges and customs clearance are the recipient's.
  • Usually ships within 3 business days by tracked express.
  • 14-day guarantee. Not as described, or damaged in transit? Replaced or refunded at our cost.
  • PayPal Buyer Protection on every checkout.
  • Labelled packets. Bags are marked with the size; single stones with their exact weight.

How to order

  1. Pick the size or weight band on the product page and check out. One bag is a normal order.
  2. For fancy shapes, or if you want tighter sorting or a matched pair, message Leilei on WhatsApp with the mm first; we confirm stock and send a photo.
  3. We inspect, photograph or film the parcel, and ship within 3 business days with tracking.

Compared with mined diamond

Laboratory-grown diamond is diamond: the same carbon crystal, hardness 10, the same brightness and fire, the same reading on a thermal tester, and the same rules at the bench. It sits unnoticed next to a mined centre stone, which is the usual use for it. The differences are origin, price, what a screening instrument reports, and the wording on your invoice — laboratory-grown diamond, never diamond alone. What's the same and what's different, in detail →

Questions jewelers ask

Will the stones pass a diamond tester?
Yes. Thermal and electrical testers read laboratory-grown diamond as diamond, because it is diamond. Instruments built to separate natural from laboratory-grown will flag them as laboratory-grown, which is correct.
Is there a minimum order?
One 1-carat bag, or one single stone. Larger quantities ship at the same listed price; ask if you need more than we show in stock.
Can I get tighter sorting than ±0.1 mm?
Usually, yes — tell us the tolerance you need and we sort to it or tell you what is possible.
Can I set it next to a mined centre stone?
Yes — that is what most of it is bought for. It matches a mined stone in colour, brightness and tester response; disclose it on the invoice and appraisal as laboratory-grown diamond melee.
Do you sell to the public?
Anyone can buy at the listed price. The products are written for jewelers because that is who buys loose melee.
