Oval moissanite loose stones, sold by the carat at a flat $26/ct — D colour, VVS clarity, hand-cut and calibrated to ±0.1 mm. The oval is the easiest fancy shape to set: no corners to protect, a four- or six-prong head or a plain bezel holds it, and its 1.4 ratio (7×5 mm at 1 ct) gives a longer face-up look than a round of the same weight.

What to specify: the mm, not just the carat. Two 1 ct ovals can be 7×5 and 7.5×5.5 depending on depth, and only one fits a head cut for 7×5. Our ovals are cut to the sizes listed below and held to ±0.1 mm, so a head ordered for 7×5 takes the stone without re-cutting the seat.
