Cushion-cut moissanite loose stones, sold by the carat at a flat $26/ct — D colour, VVS clarity, hand-cut and calibrated to ±0.1 mm. A cushion is a rounded square: it sits in a four-prong head like a round, has no sharp corners to chip, and its softer outline suits halo and vintage-style mounts where a princess would look hard.

Note on face-up size: a cushion is cut deeper than a round, so a 1 ct cushion measures 6×6 mm where a 1 ct round is 6.5 mm across — order by the millimetre if a head is already made. Our cushions are square (1:1); if a design calls for an elongated cushion, send the mm and we cut to order. The crushed-ice versus chunky faceting question matters more for diamond than for moissanite, whose dispersion is high either way; ours are cut with larger facets to keep the fire controlled.
